On March 19, 2025, Mr. Felix P. Nater, CSC, President and Chief Security Consultant at Nater Associates Ltd. and Dawn Marie Westmoreland, Host of Syndicated Radio discussed how circumstances and conditions contribute to emotions that fuel rationalization and justification thoughts of retaliation. The way the current presidential administration is going about reducing the federal government, reflects a lack of thoughtful decision-making, coordinating and planning in how best to effectively terminate or separate federal employees. The decision by the president to separate federal employees without due process could have been better administered through Cabinet Secretaries who might have coordinated the effort through labor and provided the president proper legal cover. Federal employees like other civilian employees can perceive grievance as victims denied due process. Such perceptions can have an adverse impact on society at large. Mr. Nater views violence prevention as a leadership responsibility managed downwardly through various levels of managers and supervisors. Listening to how Mr. Nater general responses reveal an informed approach to workplace violence and workplace violence prevention.
